The Hall-Mark 漏 - Term 2, Week 8
My focus for this week is Leadership.
To my mind, leadership is about vision, purpose and clarity of message. I enjoy leading teams who value and are invested in one another鈥檚 success, contribute with complimentary skill sets and actively pursue excellence. I like to trust the expertise of the team and I like to give control and build leaders from within. My approach is to give gratitude and to take responsibility.
Our students have recently returned from the Year 6 Leaders Camp and the Year 11 Leaders Camp. This has provided a unique opportunity for these students to bond together through shared experiences, to reflect on their personal strengths and areas for growth, to find an inner strength and grit to persevere and overcome challenges when tested, and to better understand and empathise with their peers. Essentially, these become the foundations for strong leadership and strong character. With commitment and consistency, our students can take on the world!
If you know a student in Year 6 or Year 11 and you notice a positive change in the coming weeks, be sure to acknowledge this and reinforce the standards they are setting for themselves. Our future is bright and our student leadership is in good hands!
