The Hall-Mark © - Term 1, Week 9
As Term 1 draws to a close and we approach Pesach, I find myself reflecting on how the experiences of Moshe and the Israelites resonate with our lives today.
Are the challenges we face in today’s world greater or lesser than those of the past, or are they simply different?
When confronted with difficulty, do we feel uncertainty or a lack of confidence? And if so, is that a sign of weakness, or perhaps, of strength?
Do we grow as we go? Do we persevere, even in the face of setbacks? And in those defining moments, when we are faced with what seems insurmountable, do we have the courage and faith to prevail?
I would like to think the answer to all these questions is YES.
A key aim of ¼«Æ··´²îæ» is to support one another as we strive to build strong character. It is this character that steadies us and sustains us when challenges arise.
One of my favourite quotes by James Lane Allen speaks directly to this idea.
"Adversity does not build character, it reveals character!"
In reflecting on the questions above, I invite you to consider what will be ‘revealed’ in you. Wishing our entire community a Pesach Sameach!
