I have taken some time to reflect on two concepts related to our journey through life –Ìýoptimism and perspective.

The backdrop to my reflection has been the Junior School Concert taking us on a journey through Israel’s contribution to the Eurovision Song Contest, our Year 9 students embarking on their Rottnest Island 4-day Adventure Camp, the Year 12 students completing their WACE Exams and embarking on the Leavers Celebrations and our Shorashim Tour group who embraced their Israel Experience. Last week we were also visited by Jordan Anthony (star of The Voice Australia, Junior Eurovision and American Idol) who not only performed for the students but delivered an inspiring TED Talk on his journey.

OptimismÌý– A mindset that good things will happen. This helps us to start our journey, to take the first step, even if you are not exactly sure where the road will lead us. Be curious, be present along the journey, look for opportunity to ‘grow as you go’.

±Ê±ð°ù²õ±è±ð³¦³Ù¾±±¹±ðÌý– A holistic view through the lens with wisdom and reason. Your perspective will shape your reality. You will know when you have ‘arrived’, when you experience peace and contentment. The you will reflect and start the next journey; such is the rhythm of life!

Whilst we are ONE SCHOOL we celebrate MULTIPLE PATHWAYS. Whatever your journey, I hope that you approach it with optimism and perspective.
